The primate brain developments are distinguished from rodents by the specific features of increased anatomical, cognitive and behavioral complexity. Especially, significant increasing in size and complexity of cerebral cortex in the modern human has put the cerebral neocortex in the center of extraordinary human cognitive abilities. Primate-specific microRNAs shaped the neuronal Landscape of primate, while how the microRNA regulation to cortical expansion is little known. By integrating all kinds of data from genomes, transcriptomes, interactomes, epigenetics and single cells, I am do a system wide investigation of novelty of miRNA regulation in primate brain development.
