I am interested in intrinsically disordered proteins that are involved in synaptic plasticity and neuropathology. These proteins are highly dynamic, and their structural conformation is highly linked to their function. Liquid-liquid phase separated, membraneless organelles play an important role in this structure-function regulation. In the Kosik lab, I investigate the structure-function of Alzheimer's Disease-related tau in neuronal liquid-liquid phase separated organelles.
