Research Summary:

In the Kosik Lab, my research focuses on understanding and disrupting the molecular mechanisms underlying tau aggregation and spread in tauopathies. I integrate structural biology, molecular neuroscience, and chemical biology to design and test innovative therapeutic strategies, including protein-like polymers (PLPs) that block tau fibril growth and propagation. Using approaches ranging from cryo-EM–guided peptide design to stem cell–derived organoid models, my work aims to identify isoform-specific interventions that can penetrate cells, target pathological tau, and halt disease progression.
